Really late ride report

This was supposed to be a really nice day to ride. It started out that way; a bit cool but not really cold, and gradually getting over whatever that nasty cold bug was that hit me a week ago. Just three of us Thursday morning; myself, Kevin & Eric.

Unfortunately, Kevin had one of his cleats fail on him just as we started up the hill through the park. He was able to ride at moderate speed up hill, but not easily, since his foot really didn’t want to stay in place on the pedal. He was able to ride across Skyline to Sky Londa, but we had to cut it short there, riding directly back down into Woodside while Eric rode the full loop.

Hopefully Sunday I’ll get my first “full” ride in since getting back from Africa.

  1. Hey guys! Hello from cold and grey England. Long time no see. Just got back from a bike ride wrapped up in three layers, wth skull cap under the helmet, full neoprene overshoes and ski gloves on.

Wish I could join you for a ride this weekend! Can’t for a while though.

I think Sencha has transitioned from crazy startup to regular Silicon Valley software company. I don’t have to visit as much. Makes for an easier life but I miss riding round the Bay area and the great weather! I miss the twice weekly purge of Kings Mountain Road at top speed!

I know you still have my bike in the shop, and I’ll collect it and pay for the service next time I’m out there. I hope it’s sometime in the spring!

    Keep cranking!

    1. We’ve been wondering when we’ll see you again; Kevin and I still expect to see you sometimes heading up Jefferson when we connect from East Lake. When we start whining about having to wear leg warmers again, we think hey, this is probably nothing compared to a winter for Nigel. Hope to see you back here soon! –Mike–
