Yes, I'm riding so fast we blew past the turnaround point Tuesday!Pretty hard to explain what happened, really. Sure, it was a bit foggy up on Skyline (sad to think I should be OK with taking 34 minutes to get up there, but well... I'd better get used to it!). As usual I began feeling better after the turn onto Skyline; by the time I get to Swett Road, just prior to the mini-climbs culminating at the Skegg's parking lot, I felt entirely different, so much better. But so much better that, as Kevin and I descended Tunitas to the turnaround point at the Grassy Knoll, just before it drops away steeply, that we missed it entirely? Weird thing, that! --Mike-- |
